Nya modellagenturen för äldre – anställer ingen under 45 år
Unga, smala och ofta närmare tonåren än medelåldern – modellyrket har länge präglats av enformiga ideal. Men under senare år har allt mer mångfald, både vad gäller ålder, kroppar och utseende, fått ta plats på såväl catwalk som i reklamkampanjer.
Nu finns dessutom en modellagentur som valt att satsa helhjärtat på en ny nisch i modellbranschen. Ryska agenturen Oldushka representerar nämligen enbart modeller över 45 år och majoriteten av agenturens modeller är i och årsåldern.
Idén till agenturen föddes genom grundaren Igor Gavars street style-blogg. Han fotograferade stilfulla pensionärer han mötte på gatan och valde sedan att satsa vidare på konceptet genom att starta modellagenturen med namnet Oldushka Models för snart två år sedan. Agenturen har fått mycket uppmärksamhet sedan dess och bland annat blivit omskriven i Vogue, medan dess modeller har anlitats för flera stora jobb i Ryssland.
